My two favorites chocolate cake & crêpes recipes

The best chocolate cake recipe ✅

I already shared this recipe in the Lifestyle section of my blog but it’s worth sharing one more time since it’s the very best and easy to prepare one of all.

Do not hesitate to adjust cooking time if you want it less creamy 🙂

As a chocolate cake lover, I tried a bunch of recipes myself, but this last one I found is just the perfection on Earth. Even Ukrainian refugees here approved it.

Warning  Make sure to let it cool down before removing it from the mold !
If you read my blog for a while you probably already guess what happened last time I was too excited and tried to extract the cake too early, it ended up being a total mess, best description would be a chocolate volcano 🌋…

For 8 people you will need:
250 g dark chocolate
250 g of butter
6 eggs
250 g sugar
80 g flour
1 pinch of salt
20 g butter for the mold
Preheat oven to 180°C (mark 6).

Crush the chocolate and put it in a heatproof bowl.
Add the butter in pieces and melt it in a bain-marie, mixing with a wooden spoon.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Place the yolks and sugar in the bowl of a blender fitted with the whisk attachment. Whip on high speed until the mixture turns white.
Pour the flour and melted chocolate into the bowl with the whipped yolks. Remove the whisk and attach the sheet. Run the mixer at high speed until the dough is smooth. Pour it into a bowl.
Clean the blender’s bowl, then add the egg whites and salt. Re-install the whisk. Run the whisk at maximum speed until you have a stiff snow
Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
Butter a 22 or 24 cm diameter cake mould. Pour the batter into the pan, place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Let the cake cool before unmolding it.

The best and easy french crêpes

This recipe was given to me by my very good friend Alice. It is a very low sugar recipes only to able to compensate with even more Nutella or raspberry jam later.

The base for 10/15 pan large crepes:

200gr of flour
30 gr of sugar
3 eggs
A pinch of salt
Milk

Add flour and sugar in a large bowl, then the eggs, and a pinch of salt,
Whip on high speed, then little by little add more and more milk

No particular dosage, it’s depending on whether you want a more liquid
or a bit thicker result.

You can also had a little bit of alcohol to it at the end if you want :
Add a bit of Rum or orange flower

Let it rest 30 min before making the crêpes

And don’t worry, if your first crêpes looks like shit, it’s a good sign 😄!

You can use a normal pan, make sure to oil it a bit before doing the crêpes
